AOA's Jimin Talks About Best Friends Kim Heechul, Seolhyun, And Kim Shin Young

AOA’s Jimin spoke about her close friendship with fellow member Seolhyun, Super Junior’s Kim Heechul, and Kim Shin Young on MBC FM4U’s “2 O’Clock Date With Ji Suk Jin.”

On the June 21 broadcast, AOA members Seolhyun, Jimin, and Hyejeong appeared as guests. Singer Kim Hyun Chul and comedienne Kim Shin Young filled in for Ji Suk Jin, whose father passed away on this day.

When asked if there are times when she intentionally doesn’t answer Kim Shin Young’s phone calls, Jimin replied, “Sometimes. I’m usually the type of person that doesn’t really answer the phone well.”

Seolhyun added, “Jimin’s phone is basically a pager. She doesn’t answer her phone, so I have to personally relay the message and there are times when I’ve gone to her home.”

About her best friend group “Shin Kimchi,” Jimin said, “It’s a social meeting made up of four people: Kim Heechul, Kim Shin Young, Kim Seolhyun, and Shin Jimin. We appeared on a music show when Heechul and Shin Young were MCs and became close while eating together.”

On what they do when they meet up, Seolhyun revealed, “We eat and talk. That’s about it.”

DJ Kim Hyun Chul asked, “If Kim Shin Young and Seolhyun needed money, how much would you be willing to let them borrow?” Jimin answered, “I can give all of my money to Kim Shin Young. It’s the same for Seolhyun. I trust and love them that much.”

She jokingly added, “Kim Heechul is a bit…I can give him about 5,000 won ($4.50).”

AOA is currently promoting their latest track “Bingle Bangle.”
