MAMAMOO’s Agency Releases Statement Regarding Moonbyul’s Recent Injury
RBW Entertainment has released a statement touching on the health status of MAMAMOO’s Moonbyul.
The agency took to MAMAMOO’s fancafe in the early hours of June 24 to speak to fans. The girl group had performed at an event on June 23 to show support ahead of the World Cup match between Korea and Mexico, and fans had expressed their concerns after seeing Moonbyul sitting down for the performance.
The agency wrote, “While working on the choreography for MAMAMOO’s comeback, Moonbyul suffered an injury and she was taken to the hospital for a checkup after expressing that she was experiencing pain in her back.” They continued to say, “The checkup concluded that Moonbyul will be able to have a full recovery if she exercises and strengthens the muscles in her back and core. They stated that there will not be any issues for her participating in activities, but she should be careful for the time being.”
RBW stated, “Following the checkup, we spoke with Moonbyul about her future activities, and came to the decision to have her sit on a chair on stage. We implemented this from last night’s schedule. We will do our best to make sure that Moonbyul receives continuous treatment and muscle training so that she can have a full recovery. We sincerely apologize for worrying fans.”
MAMAMOO recently announced that they were working towards a comeback in mid-July.
We hope that Moonbyul has a full recovery soon!
