MOMOLAND Shares How They Felt About Accusations During Bulk Buying Controversy

MOMOLAND talked about how they felt when there were accusations made that their recent mini album had been bought in bulk by their agency.

On June 24, the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism announced the results of its investigation into the accusations. It revealed that the large sales of MOMOLAND’S third mini album “Great!” did not fall under sajaegi (the manipulation of album sales numbers through bulk buying an album by an artist’s own agency).

On June 26, a showcase was held for MOMOLAND’s fourth mini album “Fun to the World” at Blue Square iMarket Hall in Seoul.

MOMOLAND’s Yeonwoo said, “Thankfully, the article was released so we were able to be cleared of the accusations. Regardless of those accusations, MOMOLAND silently worked hard. Instead of feeling bitter over the sajaegi accusations, we thought, ‘We should work harder’ and ‘We should grow a bit more.’

MOMOLAND’s newest title track “BAAM” is a house track of the electronic swing genre about unexpectedly falling for someone. The track and mini album were released on June 26.
