Girls' Generation's Tiffany Shares Her Excitement About The Message Of Her New Music

After Girls’ Generation’s Tiffany recently released her new music, she talked about feeling empowered and the deeper meaning in her lyrics!

Tiffany made a much-anticipated return on June 28 with her new English-language song “Over My Skin,” which she took part in writing. It’s the result of her partnership with East-West entertainment company Transparent Arts (headed by the Far East Movement) and Grammy award-winning production team The Stereotypes’s Jon Yip. Shortly after its release, the hashtag “#overmyskin” trended worldwide as fans celebrated Tiffany’s return and new music.

“Over My Skin” is described as being semi auto-biographical, telling the story of a young woman who’s entering a new chapter of her life while allowing herself to be more vulnerable. It combines a classic pop feel with ’90s R&B elements, and Tiffany says, “It is me all the way.”

When talking about her new music, Tiffany commented, “I feel liberated, like I’m finally stepping into my own superpowers!”

She said, ”It’s about doing my life my way and not for anyone else.  When you first hear the song, you can say, oh that is about sex, but listen again, it is really deeper than that. It is about being a woman in this world at this time. My favorite line is ‘do nasty things and you don’t judge me’ because I think every woman feels that way and there is nothing wrong with it.”

Tiffany’s music video for “Over My Skin” is set to be released on July 13, and will be followed by more new music from the talented artist.

“Over My Skin” is currently available on Spotify. Take a listen to the song below!
