9MUSES Members Express Support For Kyungri's Solo Debut During Live Broadcast
On July 5, 9MUSES’s Kyungri greeted her fans through her first Naver V Live broadcast as a solo artist.
Kyungri recently made her solo debut with title track “Blue Moon.” When starting her broadcast, she mentioned how it also coincides with her birthday. She said, “I’m nervous and excited but I feel great today. It is weird doing this by myself. However, since I debuted as a solo artist, I presume this will happen more often.”
She talked about her debut solo title track in detail. She described that the song deals with a break-up in a firm and direct way, saying “It’s a story about the last time a couple spends time with each other.” She also showcased the three main point moves: the “prayer,” “treatment,” and “dry” dances.
During the broadcast, the fans asked Kyungri to call her fellow 9MUSES’s members. Hyemi shared that she saw firsthand how hard Kyungri worked to prepare for this debut. “I was really worried, but she’s doing so well by herself,” Hyemi explained. “For now, I hope that Kyungri’s album will do better than our comeback.”
Kyungri laughed when Hyemi jokingly added, “I was kind of sad at how well she was doing. I was hoping she would feel empty without us.” Sojin immediately started singing happy birthday after answering and complimented, “You didn’t look nervous at all during your showcase.”
Ahead of her first performance, Kyungri also shared how she was half nervous but half excited. She commented, “Since I’ve never seen myself as a solo artist, I wonder what that looks like. But I think I can do a good job.”
She ended her live broadcast by saying, “I will try my hardest no matter what and have fun while doing it.”
