Mina and Ryu Phillip Tie The Knot In Emotional Wedding Ceremony

On July 7, longtime couple Mina and Ryu Phillip said their vows.

The day before, Ryu Phillip posted on social media, “The Phil-Mi couple are finally getting married tomorrow! I’m posting this in case I haven’t been able to contact everyone – my only excuse is that I’ve been busy out of my mind. If I haven’t contacted you, I ask for your understanding and I would be grateful if you contacted me in return. We will continue to live as we have done before, with love and beauty.”

On the day of the wedding, Mina posted, “The Phil-Mi couple are finally getting married today. It’s an honor to have gotten so many well-wishes for our wedding and we thank you. It’s been difficult at times to endure the judgment of society, but we have built up our trust and faith in one another through the years. We will live a beautiful and happy life together, and I hope everyone else will be happy as well. Thank you.”

The couple, who went public with their relationship in 2015, is known for their large age difference (17 years). They had already registered their marriage prior to their official wedding ceremony on July 7. The ceremony was officiated by actor Kim Seung Hyun and the congratulatory songs were performed by Jo Kwan Woo and So Real.

In a press conference for the wedding, Ryu Phillip thanked everyone for being supportive of the couple. Mina said, “I’ve stood on stage many times, but a wedding is completely different. I was so nervous I couldn’t sleep.” The two also briefly discussed their age difference and their plans for children, though they were realistic about their chances.

“I am always thinking of children, but it’s not easy,” Mina said. “We will keep trying through our honeymoon, but we will consider other medical options if it doesn’t work.” Ryu Phillip also said the couple’s goal was to have four children.
