Jin Goo To Join Ha Ji Won's New Drama "Prometheus" As Male Lead
Actor Jin Goo has been confirmed to play the lead alongside Ha Ji Won in the upcoming drama “Prometheus.”
“Prometheus” is garnering attention for its massive budget of 30 billion won (approximately $26.7 million). It was confirmed on July 13 that Jin Goo will play the role of Park Hoon, a military officer for the North Korean embassy who gets swept up in a twist of fate while residing in Moscow, Russia.
Reflecting the recent South Korea–North Korea and North Korea-United States summits and the international climate towards denuclearization, “Prometheus” starts with the premise of North Korean nuclear scientists who disappear while being repatriated.
Jin Goo’s character Park Hoon is the heart of the story.
After getting involved in an unexpected incident while living in Russia, Park Hoon finds himself working as a day laborer on a pier in South Korea. He tries to hold on to his conscience and conviction. The drama follows his story as he works with Ha Ji Won’s character Chae Eun Seo, an intelligence officer who aims to denuclearize North Korea.
In addition to the action and spy acting, viewers can look forward to the crazy backstory of Jin Goo’s character that no one will anticipate. The staff mentioned that Jin Goo, with his sincere acting and ability to sync with the character he’s playing, is perfect for this new type of spy drama.
“Prometheus” is slated to air at the end of the year.
