Super Junior's Ryeowook Shares His Thoughts On Returning From The Military

After successfully completing his military service earlier this week, Super Junior’s Ryeowook had an emotional reunion with his fans!

On July 12, Ryeowook held a special fan meeting at the SMTOWN Coex Artium in Seoul in celebration of his return from the military. The theme of the fan meeting was Antoine de Saint-Exupéry’s classic French novel “The Little Prince,” which was also the inspiration for Ryeowook’s 2016 solo debut track.

During the event, Ryeowook brought the audience to tears with his heartfelt remarks. The Super Junior member told his fans, “I still can’t believe that I’ve been discharged from the military. So many things have happened, but I hope that we don’t part ways in the future and that we can continue to meet like this with smiling faces. I will do my utmost to return all of your love.”

He later added, “I’m so happy that I’m able to sing for all of you. I hope that you leave here today with good memories. I’ll try to make it possible for us to meet like this more often in the future, so I ask that you show a lot of anticipation and support.”

In addition to singing several of his solo songs, Ryeowook serenaded his fans with a special performance of Super Junior’s ballad “I Do,” which was released as part of the group’s 2017 album “Play.”

Ryeowook was discharged from the military on July 10, after which he immediately joined the other Super Junior members for the filming of their reality show “Super TV 2” that same day.

Congratulations to Ryeowook on making his long-awaited return!
