NU'EST W Shares Fun Stories As They Talk About Their First Impressions Of Each Other

The members of NU’EST W revealed what their first impressions were of each other!

The idol group appeared on SBS PowerFM’s “Choi Hwa Jung’s Power Time” and talked about a variety of topics, one of which was their first impressions of each other. As the members had spent around 10 years together from their trainee days, they had some interesting stories to tell about each other.

Ren revealed that personally, he thought it would be hard to become friends with Aron. Talking about the fact that Aron had moved from the U.S. to Korea to pursue his singing career, Ren said, “I was really worried because of the cultural differences between the two countries. Even the smallest actions could turn into a mistake, so I was cautious around him.”

He also dropped the bombshell, “When we had to clean, we took turns. But when it was Aron’s turn, he would pretend to not understand us. We’d use all sorts of body language to communicate, and all he would say was ‘yes’ or ‘no.’ In Korean, the only thing he knew how to say was ‘Okay.'” Aron explained his actions as he said, “It’s been around seven years since I moved to Korea but when I first got here, I didn’t know any Korean at all. It’s not that I was pretending to not understand, it’s that I actually didn’t understand.”

JR revealed his first impression of Baekho, having met each other when they were in their mid-teens. JR said, “He was quite a big guy back then too. Because I’m quite small, I felt a little intimidated. But we became really close. When Baekho would fly into Seoul from his home in Jeju Island, he would ask me to come pick him up at the airport, saying he was scared to ride the subway alone. So I did that quite a lot and we got to know each other.”

NU’EST W is currently busy promoting their latest title track “Dejavu.”
