Watch: Chungha And gugudan SEMINA Knock Out "Weekly Idol" Dance Challenges

July 18, Chungha and gugudan SEMINA appeared on “Weekly Idol,” taking their turns at the show’s signature dance challenges.

For Chungha, this was her first solo appearance on the show, after appearing as a member of I.O.I or with other artists previously.

To start, she completed the roller coaster dance challenge with her song “Roller Coaster,” making the MCs speechless with her ease despite the random changes in song speed, which, the MCs said, happened more often than usual.

Chungha said, “After doing the challenge, I forgot what the normal BPM (beats per minute) for my song was.”

She then performed her new song “Love U” for the first time after its release, which she — and her dancers, too — followed up with a performance of the song at double speed.

Once again, Chungha succeeded with ease. She said, “I thought it was going to be a mess, but that fact that we were able to finish [is amazing]. I thought we wouldn’t have the energy to do it.”

Chungha also revealed her special comeback performance for the first time. “For each album, we prepare about a one-minute intro performance as a sort of special treat for fans.”

It was the first appearance for just the three members of gugudan SEMINA as well, who performed their latest release, “SEMINA.”

Following up with the double speed dance challenge, gugudan SEMINA succeeded with flying colors, though they were visibly pressed at times throughout the challenge.
