Seungkwan Shares How His Family Is Always Promoting SEVENTEEN

SEVENTEEN member Seungkwan’s family loves to support the group!

On the July 19 episode of “Happy Together,” SEVENTEEN’s Seungkwan and Mingyu appeared as guests.

Host Yoo Jae Suk said to Seungkwan that he’d heard that his whole family were “honorary ambassadors” for SEVENTEEN.

Seungkwan replied that his family name is Boo and he may be the first celebrity from his family. “My dad is always wearing hats and badges that say SEVENTEEN, which our fans gave him,” he said.

“He works in a rail bike tourism business on Jeju Island, and students from all over the country come to ride the bikes on their school trips,” he explained. “The students will be riding the bikes and then my dad will ask them, ‘What singer do you like?'”

Seungkwan said if they answered another group, his father would reply, “You should like SEVENTEEN! My son is in SEVENTEEN! Boo Seungkwan is my son.”

Seungkwan explained that one of his older sisters is also a big promoter of SEVENTEEN, joking that she does it even more than their mother.

“When news about our albums comes out, she always takes a screenshot and posts it on social media,” he said. “She writes ‘I love you, my brother.'” As the cast and guests cracked up, Seungkwan added that she also writes, “You’re the son of Jeju.”
