Koreans Vote On Stars Who Are Great At Foreign Languages

Koreans have voted on stars who aren’t from overseas that have impressed them with their language skills!

DC Inside and MyCelebs recently held a poll that asked users, “Which star who’s not from overseas is so good at foreign languages you want to steal their language skills?” The poll ran from July 15 to 21, with 6,765 votes in total.

Hwang Min Hyun of NU’EST and Wanna One came in No. 1 with 2,146 votes (31.7 percent). He’s known for having studied hard at Japanese while promoting with NU’EST in Japan, and his skills have reached the level where he’s able to host shows and act in Japanese. He’s also been using his Japanese recently while interpreting for his fellow Wanna One members when they promote in Japan.

BTS’s RM came in second place with 1,574 votes (23.3 percent). RM has impressed many people with his language skills, including the English proficiency he’s been putting to good use during the group’s international activities, such as interviews on American talk shows and more. The BTS leader has said that he studied English partially through watching the popular sitcom “Friends.”

In third place is actor Kang Dong Won, who studied English in order to break into Hollywood. He’ll soon be appearing in his first Hollywood film “Tsunami LA.”
