Seo Shin Ae, Park Soo Jin, And YoonA Latest To Be Hit With Social Media Hacking
Seo Shin Ae posted a message on her Instagram on July 26, after an ad for sunglasses appeared on her account.
She said, “I never expected this to happen… But all the hacker did was post a single photo. If that was all you were going to do, why’d you go through the trouble of hacking my account? You didn’t change my password, you didn’t post any messages… it was just to advertise.. (my mom thought I was posting sunglasses that I wanted to buy haha) Anyway, you don’t have to worry! I was just surprised this morning, but this is amusing!”
Park Soo Jin’s Instagram also appears to have been hacked, with a suspicious ad post after having been on a long hiatus from social media since a controversy in November of last year. The post has been deleted, but no message regarding the hack has been posted by the actress.
Girls’ Generation’s YoonA made a post due to her Instagram password being changed without her knowledge earlier this month, and it is just the latest in a string of hacks that the star has been the target of. July 8, she said, “I don’t know when this happened, but my Instagram password has changed and I can’t log in. [This happened] yesterday, too. This kind of thing seems to keep happening to my personal space, where I communicate with fans. This isn’t just with Instagram. It’s happened several times, and I feel like I have to say something because of discomfort and concern. Please protect my personal information.”
Just last month, actress Song Da Eun and NU’EST’s JR also were hit by hacks. Though celebrities’ accounts being the target of hackers is certainly not unheard of, the frequency seems to have increased in recent months, causing the public to raise voice of concern.
