Increasing Number Of Celebrities Are Diving Into Content Creation

More and more celebrities are becoming content creators and finding more intimate ways to communicate with the public.

Although platforms like YouTube used to be seen as a platform for those who cannot easily appear on television, mainstream celebrities like Song Eun Yi and Kim Sook have recently gained significant attention for their web content creation.

Various other stars have also jumped into unleashing their creativity through this unconstrained and communicative method.

Earlier this month, Solbi launched her YouTube channel Roman Princess Solbin where she uploads her own interesting videos concerning a variety of topics like eating, drinking alone, and dating advice.

Singer Lyn also has a YouTube channel titled Lyn TV that opened last October. Not only does Lyn does all the filming, but she also edits the videos herself through her traveling and daily life. She shared, “I usually film a lot of things because I have a habit of recording, but I started to learn how to edit videos and add subtitles because they are too precious to keep to myself.”

f(x)’s Luna recently began the fourth season of Luna’s Alphabet, showing behind-the-scenes stories of concerts and music production, her travel experiences, and more.

Lee Soo Hyun started her beauty vlog Mochi Peach on YouTube last May, and within four days of her first video, she surpassed 100,000 subscribers. Through her YouTube channel, she interacts with her subscribers and gives advice on how to do your make-up for certain events.

Former MBLAQ member G.O is now a well-known broadcasting jockey (BJ) on afreecaTV and also runs a YouTube channel GOTV. He shares secrets of idol life and shows off his singing ability by covering other singers’ songs. His girlfriend Choi Ye Seul also appears from time to time. G.O commented, “In my ten years as a singer, this is one of the happiest moments of my life. I became interested in becoming a BJ because I can communicate by doing what I want to do.”

DAY6’s Jae has a YouTube channel called JaeSix. The hilarious videos are filled with behind-the-scenes content and collaborations with other YouTubers and celebrities. Although the first season recently ended, he has promised an exciting return in the near future.

Idols including Apink’s Bomi, BTOB’s Peniel, f(x)’s Amber, and Sandara Park have also been active in unique and fun content creation.
