“New Journey to the West” has responded to reports on the new season of the show.
On July 30, an industry representative commented, “[The cast of] tvN’s ‘New Journey to the West’ will depart on August 3 and return on [August] 14.”
The source continued, “The original members already met and filmed in the middle of the month, and it is unknown if new members are joining. It has also been decided that following China and Vietnam, they will be going to Southeast Asia this time. However, like the previous seasons, the exact location is being kept a secret until the day of.”
In response to the reports, a source from the program remarked, “Due to safety reasons, we cannot reveal the program’s concept, detailed schedule, and whether new members are joining. We ask for your understanding.”
