Girls' Generation's Seohyun Suffers Emotional Breakdown On "Time"

MBC’s new drama “Time” has unveiled heartbreaking stills of Girls’ Generation’s Seohyun from its upcoming episode!

“Time” tells the story of Seol Ji Hyun (played by Seohyun), an optimistic aspiring chef who is forced to become the breadwinner of her household at an early age, but who dreams of flying off to Paris one day. Actor Kim Jung Hyun stars as Cheon Soo Ho, a wealthy and cold-hearted heir who is seemingly responsible for the death of Seol Ji Hyun’s younger sister. When Cheon Soo Ho learns that he doesn’t have much time left to live, he decides to devote the final days of his life to helping Seol Ji Hyun.

On July 31, the drama released photos of Seohyun in character as Seol Ji Hyun, looking devastated and breaking down sobbing on the floor of a dark, empty restaurant. Seol Ji Hyun clutches a bowl of cream pasta in her hands as she weeps, piquing viewers’ curiosity as to the cause of her distress.

According to those present during filming, Seohyun was incredibly focused as she acted out the emotional scene, carefully monitoring her own performance and asking the director for his opinion as she perfected her performance.

The producers of “Time” commented, “When Seohyun is off camera, she enlivens the atmosphere on set with her bright smile, and when she is on camera, she heightens the drama’s realism with her acting, which boasts a flawless transformation into the character of Seol Ji Hyun.”

They added, “Please keep an eye on Seohyun, whose acting has matured through playing the role of Seol Ji Hyun.”
