Park Seo Joon Comments On His Character And Bed Scene In "What's Wrong With Secretary Kim"

Park Seo Joon shared his thoughts about his bedroom scene with actress Park Min Young in tvN’s “What’s Wrong with Secretary Kim.”

In interviews on July 31 for the conclusion of the drama, he honestly commented, “Bed scenes are very difficult for actors. We also depend on the director for certain parts as well. Since the script alone does not portray the situation, we rehearse a lot on the set, and rather than going with my thoughts, it’s important to know the relationship between the two characters, whether it’s their first night together or if they’re long-term lovers, to make it natural.”

He added, “I think the reason the bed scene got attention is mainly due to the atmosphere rather than the scene being so risqué. It got attention because of things like the emotions drawn together from the first episode. It is hard to monitor on the spot because how the camera director films. When I watched the broadcast, the angle it was filmed it did sort of make me feel like I was kind of intruding.”

When asked if Park Seo Joon felt proud like his own character Lee Young Joon for being praised for his romantic comedy acting, he replied, “I wasn’t proud of myself as my real personality and the drama’s character were different, but I always have confidence in my acting. I am not a person who has a strong sense of self-regard or is used to showing off though.”

Regarding comments saying that Park Seo Joon met his “life character” in this drama, meaning the best character of his life, he stated, “I don’t know what kind of productions I’ll work on in the future, but I don’t think that’s true. As soon as the ‘life character’ is determined, it feels like it becomes the actor’s definite color, and I think being a blank slate is good. The comments are nice to hear, but it also sounds like a wake-up call.”
