EXO's D.O. Is A Lonely Prince In

Upcoming tvN drama “100 Days My Prince” has released stills of EXO’s D.O.!

“100 Days My Prince” is a romantic comedy that tells the love story between a fictional Joseon crown prince suffering from temporary memory loss, and the woman he meets during those 100 days.

D.O. will play the crown prince Lee Yool, a perfectionist that hardly anyone likes in the royal palace. However, after an accident, he loses his memories and becomes the useless Won Deuk. He eventually comes to have an unconventional relationship with Hong Shim (Nam Ji Hyun), the oldest unmarried woman in her village.

Hong Shim must marry Won Deuk due to a decree that he himself issued when he was still the prince. She was ordered to wed in order to end a devastating drought in the area.

The released stills portray Lee Yool’s mighty figure as the crown prince. He makes everyone around him, including the civil and military officials, flustered due to his demanding personality. However, as he walks alone in the photos, his usual cold and rude image is replaced by one that encases a lonely and empty feeling.

As Won Deuk, D.O. will show a different image from the perfect Lee Yool. He will be so useless that he will not be able to even light up the firewood without help. His relationship with Hong Shim will especially be a point of interest, as although it was because of his own orders that they must marry, he does not remember that at all.

The production staff stated, “Lee Yool and Won Deuk are characters who are in complete opposite situations. D.O.’s solid and impressive acting skills portrayed the two characters in an amusing way. Through the crown prince Yool, viewers will be able to see the fun in historical dramas, while also reacting to the heart-fluttering romantic scenes of Hong Shim and Won Deuk. Please look forward to D.O.’s acting transformation that you won’t believe is his first historical drama as he perfectly takes in the characters of both Yool and Won Deuk.”

“100 Days My Prince” will premiere on September 10 at 9:30 p.m. KST. Check out teasers for the drama here and here!
