TV Schedule Changes This Week Due To Coverage Of 2018 Asian Games

The Opening Ceremony on August 18 officially marks the start of the 2018 Asian Games in Jakarta and Palembang in Indonesia.

As Korean athletes are showing strong participation in the events, the public broadcasting stations will be canceling regular broadcasts of dramas and variety shows in order to cover the Asian Games.

Check out the changes that have been revealed so far for this week:

Wednesday, August 15

MBC aired the Korea vs. Bahrain soccer match instead of “Daughter-in-Law in Wonderland” and “Time.” KBS2 aired the Korea vs. Indonesia basketball game, so “Your House Helper” was broadcast 30 minutes later than usual.

Sunday, August 19

Several programs will be canceled on Sunday due to coverage of sports including swimming, shooting, taekwondo, and fencing. On SBS, “Inkigayo” and “Master in the House” will not be broadcast this week. MBC will not air “The King of Mask Singer,” “Dunia,” and “The Rich Son.”
