Super Junior D&E Share Stories From Filming Music Video, Their First

On August 16, Super Junior D&E held a V Live broadcast to commemorate their comeback with “‘Bout You.”

First they went through their physical album together and Donghae said, “When we were doing an interview, the reporters were disappointed that Eunhyuk hadn’t shown up with his blue hair. So we took him to the hair salon and dyed it right there.” Eunhyuk added, “Because E.L.F’s color is blue.”

About their title track, Donghae said, “I thought about we love everything about our fans when I wrote it.” As this was the duo’s first time trying the trap hip-hop genre, he added, “I kept it a secret from Eunhyuk and when I called him into the studio, he stayed there for six hours [coming up with a rap].”

After watching their new music video together, Eunhyuk said, “The scene where we filmed on the street was not originally in the script. I thought it would be nice to have one where we danced freely in the street, so after we filmed the club scene on the first day, we had 20 minutes left and went and filmed it. Time was really tight when we filmed with our American staff. After they filmed the final cut, we wanted to monitor our performance, but they said they had to go.”

Donghae said, “They said they would let us monitor at 4:45, but we ran out of time. They said that they had to be out by 5 and had to pack up all their stuff, and said we should monitor it tomorrow. I thought they were amazing.”

They also shared fanchants with the viewers and revealed some of the choreography in the practice room. After they surpassed 10 million “hearts”, Eunhyuk mentioned, “I’ve heard fans say that Super Junior doesn’t release dance practice videos. ‘U’ wasn’t officially released but leaked. We don’t really release them. They were for us to look at. But fans wanted to see us practice in the practice room, so we will show you the practice version through V Live now.”
