Super Junior D&E's Donghae Shares If Their New Track Is Based On His Personal Dating Experience

Super Junior’s Donghae talked about his dating experience, his thoughts on public dating, and more.

Super Junior D&E recently sat down for an interview where they talked about their newly released mini album “Bout You.” As the one who composed it, Donghae introduced the title track of the same name as a trap, hip-hop song that sweetly confesses a man’s love at first sight for a woman.

When asked if the song was based on his own dating experience, Donghae smiled and answered, “Isn’t it [based on] everyone’s experience?” He continued, “I want to be loved by someone, and of course I want to earn the heart of a person I love. I’d like it if someone could be madly in love with me.”

Eunhyuk commented, “Donghae is really emotionally sensitive. I think when he experiences something, he remembers the emotions of it well.” Donghae agreed and explained, “I think those emotions and experiences help a lot when I’m working on songs. When I like someone, or when someone likes me, music becomes an exit to express those emotions.”

Donghae then talked about his opinion on publicly dating, and shared, “I’m going to [go public] when I get married. I originally wanted to get married when I was 28 years old, but I still haven’t yet. I think I’ll get married someday.”

Super Junior D&E’s “Bout You” was released on August 16.
