tvN Reportedly To Remake American Show “Designated Survivor”
There may be a Korean remake of “Designated Survivor!”
On August 19, a source from the Korean drama industry reported to Ilgan Sports that tvN would be remaking the ABC drama “Designated Survivor.” The show is about a politician named the “designated survivor” who suddenly becomes President of the United States after everyone else in the line of succession is killed in an attack.
The first season of the American show aired in 2016, while the second season ended in May 2018. ABC has not renewed the show for a third season.
Reportedly, the producing director (PD) for the Korean remake will be Yoo Jong Sun, who has worked on dramas like “Marry Him If You Dare” and “The Red Teacher.”
