"Lovely Horribly" Viewer Ratings Experience Boost
With the TV schedule change due to the 2018 Asian Games, “Lovely Horribly” was able to enjoy a boost in its viewer ratings as one of the few dramas airing last night.
According to Nielsen Korea, the August 20 episode recorded viewer ratings of 4.9 percent and 5.3 percent. This is an increase from last week’s viewer ratings, which were 3.9 percent and 4.5 percent.

In the episode, Yoo Philip (Park Shi Hoo) starts to suspect the identity of Oh Eul Soon (Song Ji Hyo). According to the news, the ID of Ki Eun Young (Choi Yeo Jin) was found in the corpse’s possessions. They thought she was murdered due to resentment. Hearing that, Yoo Philip demanded Oh Eul Soon, “What are you? What is your real identity?”Just then, Shin Yoon Ah (T-ara’s Eunjung) came into the room calling for him, and taken by surprise, Yoo Philip stumbled and accidentally locked lips with Oh Eul Soon.
Later on, Yoo Phillip attended a charity fashion show and found Ki Eun Young, who he thought had died, wearing a white dress. At the same time, Oh Eul Soon also went to the hotel where the fashion show was held after receiving text messages believed to have been sent by Ki Eun Young. Yoo Phillip followed Ki Eun Young but eventually lost her, and he found out the location he was at was the place where the fire happened eight years ago.
At that moment, Kim Ra Yeon (Hwang Sun Hee) appeared in a white dress, causing Yoo Phillip to run off towards the emergency accident. However, due to the rain, he slipped and fell into a dangerous situation where he’s dangling off a ladder. A man in a black mask appeared and stepped on his hand, causing him to fall five stories. Miraculously Yoo Phillip fell into Oh Eul Soon’s truck and managed to save his life.
The viewers reacted positively to the episode with questions and comments, such as, “The more the mysterious past is revealed, the more goosebumps I get,” and “What happened eight years ago?”
Episodes 7 and 8 will air on August 21 at 10 p.m. KST.
