Miyazaki Miho's Agency Responds To Reports Of Her Looking For Agencies For Korean Promotions

Miyazaki Miho’s agency has responded to reports that she was looking into agencies to support her promotions in Korea.

According to a source in the music industry, after reviewing her recent promotions in Korea and Japan, the “Produce 48” contestant had decided to look for an agency to support her Korean promotions. Miyazaki Miho is currently signed with Hori Pro Entertainment in Japan, and is promoting under Team A of AKB48.

A representative from her agency denied the reports, saying, “From the agency’s perspective, there are no such plans. ‘Produce 48’ has not yet concluded, so we didn’t know these kinds of things would be said.”

The representative continued, “Miho likes Korea a lot. She’s become quite popular in Korea, and so she’s enjoying that. She even became an emcee for a program related to Korea. It’s something that will happen after ‘Produce 48,’ but she has her own dreams and goals. We will have to see the situation, but we see promotions in Korea as a possibility. However, we currently have no plans.”

Her agency also acknowledged they had heard there were rumors that other AKB48 members in “Produce 48” had received offers from Korean agencies, and commented that they did not know the exact situation as the contestants had different agencies.

Miyazaki Miho debuted in 2008 as a member of AKB48 and has been receiving a lot of love as a contestant on “Produce 48” for her strong command of Korean as well as her love for K-pop. She has even previously played various Korean songs on her radio show as well as worn hanbok (traditional Korean clothing) on stage. On “Produce 48,” she shot up from 27th to 1st place on the most recent episode.
