BTS's #IdolChallenge Is Sweeping Twitter

After BTS’s J-Hope released a call to action earlier this week, ARMY has risen to the (#IDOL) challenge!

On August 27, J-Hope kicked off a worldwide trend by sharing a video of himself dancing to the chorus of BTS’s latest title track “Idol” in Malta. He also tagged the post with the hashtags “#HopeOnTheStreet,” “#URSOO” [a Korean exclamation featured in the song’s lyrics], “#IDOL,” and “#IDOLCHALLENGE.”

Since then, the “Idol Challenge” has gone viral, with countless fans worldwide posting videos of themselves dancing to the same segment of the song.

B.A.P’s Zelo also stepped up to the challenge on August 29, writing in the caption, “Hoseok [J-Hope’s given name] is the best!”

The American talk show “The Ellen Degeneres Show,” on which BTS has appeared as a guest twice in the past, shared a video of its DJ tWitch rocking the challenge as well.

All seven members of BTS also took on the challenge together during a Naver V Live broadcast on August 29.
