IU Reveals Special Plans For 10-Year Debut Anniversary

IU will be spending her 10-year debut anniversary in an exciting way with fans.

On August 30, her agency Kakao M stated, “On September 15, IU will be holding a solo fan meeting ‘IU+’ and will be spending time with her fan club ‘Uaena’ at the Universal Art Center in Gwangjin-gu, Seoul.”

The singer-songwriter will be holding two fan meetings, one at 2 p.m. and the other at 6 p.m., celebrating the day with a total of 2,000 fans. For the last five years, IU has spent her debut anniversary with fans, holding concerts, fan meetings, and other events for Uaenas.

The first part of the upcoming fan meeting will be directed at fans in their teens, called “Talk To IU.” The singer previously mentioned holding a concert for fans in their teens at her solo concert last year. As this is her 10-year anniversary, she will be spending the first part of the fan meeting with 1,000 Uaenas that grew along with her hit songs. Not only will she be communicating with them through her music, but they will also be sharing their thoughts and concerns with her.The second part of the upcoming fan meeting will be available for fans in their 20s and older. IU will be celebrating her 10-year anniversary and also will be holding a party promising the next 10 years together.A source from her agency stated, “IU wanted to make precious memories with all Uaenas that she spent the last 10 years with. She added many of her own ideas and is hard at work preparing for the fan meeting. Please look forward to it.”

IU recently featured on Zico’s new track “Soulmate” in July. She will also be appearing on the first episode of upcoming SBS variety show “Eat with Style,” which will air on September 7.
