Super Junior And iKON Express Gratitude After 2018 Asian Games Closing Ceremony

Super Junior and iKON, who performed at the 2018 Asian Games closing ceremony on September 2, marking the end of the 16-day multi-sport event, took to Instagram and Twitter to say thanks to their fans and congratulate the competing athletes.

Super Junior hit No. 1 on real-time Naver search results and trended in Korea, Indonesia, and worldwide on Twitter along with iKON for their performances:

Super Junior said, “No. 1 for Green Window (Naver) real-time search results. And takeover of Twitter trends for Korea, Indonesia, and worldwide? We are Super Junior, who put on an awesome performance for the closing ceremony of the 2018 Jakarta-Palembang Asian Games?”

SM posted footage of the group from behind-the-scenes of the closing ceremony, thanking fans for their support of Super Junior:

The Super Junior members also took the time to say thank you individually through their own accounts:

Yesung: “(in Indonesian) Thanks.”

Eunhyuk: “Thank you”

Choi Siwon: “[Super Junior] had the chance to perform for the closing ceremony for the 2018 Asian Games. It’s such an honor, and we’re so happy and excited. Good job to all of the Korean athletes! And congratulations to all of the athletes from the different countries that competed wonderfully.

“Great honor to be a part of the Asian Games 2018 closing ceremony. An ‘End’ is just another word for a ‘New beginning’. Let’s share the energy of Asia!”

On Twitter, Choi Siwon added: “Good job everyone. So now.”

Donghae: “Good job to all of the athletes who participated in the 2018 Asian Games. It was an honor for us to perform in the closing ceremony.”
