BONUSbaby Temporarily Halts Group Activities + Kongyoo Leaves Group

Girl group BONUSbaby is going through some changes.

On September 10, the group’s agency Maroo Entertainment revealed through an official statement, “After discussing with member Kongyoo on her career path, she has decided to focus on her studies for her dreams. We exchanged opinions through several discussions with Kongyoo, and we chose to respect her decision after careful consideration.”

The statement continues, “We wish for the luck and success of Kongyoo as she takes on new challenges, and we ask for fans to also show support.”

“With the absence of Kongyoo and various circumstances including the members’ career paths and studies, BonusBaby will temporarily halt activities. We ask for your understanding in currently only being able to inform you that various changes are occurring,” the agency explains.

Maroo Entertainment concludes by assuring that the agency will continue to support the members’ individual activities and asks for the love and support of fans.

BONUSbaby debuted in January 2017. Members Moonhee, Hayoon, Chaehyun, and Dayun competed on JTBC audition program “MIXNINE.”
