Yeeun Responds To Reports That She Was Investigated For Fraud With Her Father

Yeeun’s agency has responded to reports revealing that the singer was sued along with her father, a pastor, in the latest case of fraud against the members of his church.

September 10, Yeeun’s agency Amoeba Culture said, “It is true that Yeeun was sued for fraud, and that she was investigated by the police. She is in no way involved in the incident, and in order to prove her innocence, she faithfully cooperated with the police in their investigations. We apologize for all of the controversy due to her father.”

Yeeun’s father is currently serving a six-year prison sentence for conning roughly 150 members of his church out of about 19.7 billion won (approximately $17.4 million).

In the latest charges brought forth in March this year, the victims are claiming that the pastor and his daughter, Yeeun, deceived the churchgoers under the ruse of an entertainment business. Investigation regarding this case is still ongoing.

News sources have also revealed that there are charges against the pastor of alleged sexual assault. September 10, Channel A reported that the pastor is being investigated for the sexual assault of a woman in her 20s three years ago. The pastor has denied these charges, and has expressed his intent to countersue for false accusations.
