Kwak Dong Yeon Chooses Favorite Co-Star Between Park Bo Gum And Cha Eun Woo

Kwak Dong Yeon had an interview on September 18 about the end of “My ID Is Gangnam Beauty.” He thanked viewers by saying, “We were lucky that no one got hurt during the whole production. We were able to get energy from our fans’ love towards the show. Thank you so much.”

Kwak Dong Yeon appeared as Yeon Woo Young, the Teacher’s Assistant at the Chemistry Department who likes Kang Mi Rae (played by Im Soo Hyang). He gained popularity for his sweet, warm, and romantic character. His character was just as popular as Do Kyung Suk (played by Cha Eun Woo) because the character was very realistic.

When he was asked about Yeon Woo Young’s popularity, he replied, “I’ve never acted in this kind of genre [romance] before, so I didn’t know how viewers would see me. I didn’t appear in a lot of dramas, so I started this one with the hope of just acting well until the very end.”

When he was asked about his famous co-actors Cha Eun Woo and Park Bo Gum, he replied, “With Cha Eun Woo, we are the same age so I was very comfortable. There’s this chemistry that I feel when I’m around my friends. I could feel the same thing when I was acting with Eun Woo. With Park Bo Gum, I just liked him a lot. In ‘Moonlight Drawn By Clouds,’ the characters that we acted were more than friends. It was a relationship where we risk our life for the other. The filming time was also much longer than ‘My ID Is Gangnam Beauty.’ It’s not that I wasn’t comfortable around Eun Woo, but it’s because I spent much more time with Bo Gum.”

Kwak Dong Yeon is a young actor who has just turned 21 this year. He appeared in many dramas such as “Inspiring Generation,” “Please Come Back, Mister,” “Pied Piper,” “Moonlight Drawn By Clouds,” “Fight My Way,” as both leading and supporting roles since 2012.
