Kang Sung Hoon To Not Participate In Upcoming SECHSKIES Concert + New Music Release Postponed

Kang Sung Hoon will not be participating in SECHSKIES’s upcoming concert.

The singer spoke with YG Entertainment and stated that he will not be able to stand on stage during SECHSKIES’s concert due to personal circumstances. He came to the decision that though the concert date is nearing, he is unable to prepare for the concert due to his situation.

The other four members were sad, but they are said to have been understanding and respected Kang Sung Hoon’s decision. The remaining members have agreed to keep practicing throughout the Chuseok holidays. Kang Sung Hoon’s lines will have to redistributed to other members, and they will have to change the choreography for their songs to fit four members. The members are determined to band together even closer and work harder to create a high-quality performance for their fans.

SECHSKIES will also be pushing back the release of new music that had originally been planned. YG Entertainment stated, “We were in the middle of recording new music for SECHSKIES, and we are saddened that we have to unfortunately delay the release date,” and “We hope that his personal misunderstandings and controversies will be ironed out soon.”

Kang Sung Hoon is currently under scrutiny following incidents including the cancellation of his Taiwan fan meeting and the head of his fan cafe Hoony World misappropriating donation funds.

SECHSKIES will be holding their “SECHSKIES 2018 Concert Now, Here, Again” on October 13 and 14 at the Seoul KSPO Dome.
