Some of YG Entertainment’s most talented dancers have featured in the first teaser for X Academy!
On September 22, YG Entertainment and YGX, a subsidiary company of YG Entertainment, announced the ambitious start to X Academy on their blog and social media sites, along with a teaser video of WINNER’s Lee Seung Hoon.
X Academy is a dance academy that YG Entertainment, which has produced the best artists of its time through its unique and systematic training system, will establish near Hongik University in Seoul in October. It will be an educational venue for culture and art that will convey YG’s culture and experiences built on dance and vocals that have accumulated over the past 22 years.
Famous top-tier dance teams such as HITECH and CRAZY, who have joined BIGBANG, WINNER, iKON, and BLACKPINK in performing on worldwide stages, along with vocal trainers that have gained popularity on TV audition programs and in the entertainment industry, will become instructors for the academy.
X Academy offers a chance for applicants to experience the same conditions as singers belonging to YG through the instructors’ detailed teachings. Boys and girls, beginner to advanced applicants, and people who aren’t necessarily aiming to be celebrities can all experience this education.
In the video, Lee Seung Hoon shows off his flashy, high-quality dance performance. His charismatic dance contrasts interestingly with the antique, traditional background. The dancers who appear with Lee Seung Hoon are YG Entertainment’s very own HITECH, a male dance team and X Academy’s instructors.
Until now, Lee Seung Hoon has drawn attention for choreographing WINNER’s dances and maintaining his own skills. Recently, he is participating in the dance battle program “Dancing High” as both a dance coach and mentor to the participants.
X Academy will release a variety of collaboration videos with YG artists in the future.
