Jung So Min Relatably Struggles To Take A Good Selfie On

tvN’s upcoming drama “The Smile Has Left Your Eyes” has released new stills of its star Jung So Min!

“The Smile Has Left Your Eyes” is a new mystery melodrama that will tell the story of Kim Moo Young, a dangerous murder suspect whom people describe as a “monster” (played by Seo In Guk) and Yoo Jin Gang, a woman who shares similar emotional scars (played by Jung So Min). Although her brother Yoo Jin Gook (played by Park Sung Woong) is the detective facing off against Kim Moo Young, Yoo Jin Gang still ends up falling in love with the so-called “monster.”

On September 25, the drama unveiled new stills of Jin Gang attempting to take a selfie—and staring wistfully at her own photos afterwards. Although Jung So Min looks as lovely as ever, there is something strangely bittersweet about the character and her sorrowful gaze.

The producers of “The Smile Has Left Your Eyes” commented, “In this scene, there is a heartbreaking story hidden behind Jung So Min’s cheerful smile, and it explains why she had no choice but to take selfies by herself.”

Praising Jung So Min’s performance, they went on, “In order to act out the scene, Jung So Min used a sad, empty gaze to subtly and realistically portray Yoo Jin Gang’s sad emotions and feelings of confusion in the drama. Please tune in to see her strong acting skills.”

“The Smile Has Left Your Eyes” premieres on October 3 at 9:30 p.m. KST and will be available with English subtitles on Viki.
