Boy Group Member Impresses As The First In His Group To Compete On

The youngest member of a boy group made an appearance on “The King of Mask Singer”!

On the September 30 broadcast, “Autumn Woman” and “Autumn Man” faced off against each other in the first round.

They performed their own rendition of Yoon Hyun Sang and IU’s “When Would It Be,” and showcased their contrasting but harmonious voices.

They also showed off some other talents they had, with “Autumn Man” performing a short but impactful dance cover of BTS’s “Idol.”

Spoiler

“Autumn Woman” ended up taking the round, with 68 points to 31 points, which meant “Autumn Man” had to reveal his identity.

While singing Paul Kim’s “Every Day, Every Moment,” he unmasked himself to be ASTRO’s Sanha!

Sanha revealed how Cha Eun Woo played a big part in his appearance as a masked contestant, saying, “Eun Woo appeared as a panelist last year, and he told the producing director and writers that it would be nice for one of the [ASTRO] members to appear. So, I ended up coming on here as the first [ASTRO member].” Sanha added, “He told me to pass at least one round, but I sadly was unable to keep that promise.”

Backstage, the idol expressed, “I told myself that even if I don’t win, I should try pass at least one round. I feel relieved and disappointed at the same time at being eliminated.” Addressing his fellow ASTRO members, Sanha also said, “I tried hard, but had a bad result. There’s nothing I can do about it. Please listen. [‘Autumn Woman’] is too good.”

He concluded, “I am honored to achieve my dream of standing on ‘The King of Mask Singer’ stage, and I will become someone who works even harder.”

“The King of Mask Singer” airs every Sunday at 4:50 p.m. KST.
