Kim Hyun Woo, a cast member of Channel A’s reality dating show “Heart Signal 2,” has been charged for driving under the influence for the third time.
On October 1, a media outlet reported that Kim Hyun Woo was caught driving under the influence and was sentenced to a fine of 10 million won (approximately $9,000).
According to the report, Kim Hyun Woo was caught driving under the influence on September 22 around 3 a.m. KST near Toegyeo Road in Seoul. His blood alcohol content at the time was 0.238 percent.
This was his third time getting caught drunk driving. He was previously sentenced to pay 4 million won (approximately $3,600) for drunk driving in 2012 and 8 million won (approximately $7,200) for the same offense on April 30, 2013.
In August, Kim Hyun Woo was also swept up in a controversy after a woman protested in front of his restaurant accusing him of extorting money from her and cajoling her. She said that he took money from her after asking her to pay his fine. However, Kim Hyun Woo’s representatives stated that he was the one who was blackmailed for money by the woman, and he temporarily closed his restaurant.
