Super Junior's Leeteuk Apologizes For Confusion Over Instagram DM

Super Junior’s Leeteuk has apologized for a misunderstanding regarding an Instagram direct message he sent earlier in the day.

On October 5, a media outlet reported that Leeteuk had sent a message that said, “Hey, Yeonwoo” to what seemed like a fanpage for MOMOLAND’s Yeonwoo. The report included an image of the original poster’s screen capture of his direct message that had the words, “Omg I can’t believe,” posted on it. According to the report, there is a chance that Leeteuk mistook the fanpage for Yeonwoo’s actual Instagram.

Later in the day, Leeteuk took to his Instagram to clear up the confusion. He posted a photo of the screen capture in question and captioned his post, “I just wanted to send a message of support to a junior who is always working hard in broadcasts, or this time, for the 2018 Asia Song Festival.. [Crying face] It’s my fault, I’m really sorry Yeonwoo. I’d like to apologize to fans who were surprised by my sudden DM.” He then included the hashtags, “I called out ‘Hey, Yeonwoo.'” and “Old person.”

On October 3, Leeteuk was the MC for the 2018 Asia Song Festival, along with MOMOLAND’s Yeonwoo and Nancy.
