"Dark Figure Of Crime" Surpasses 1 Million Moviegoers In Just 4 Days

“Dark Figure of Crime” has attracted over a million moviegoers in just four days!

The film tells the story of a murderer who confesses to seven additional murders in jail (played by Joo Ji Hoon) and a detective who believes his confession and investigates his crimes (played by Kim Yun Seok). The movie, which is based on a true story, received favorable reviews at the Cannes Film Festival in May.

Despite going head-to-head with the newly released Hollywood movie “Venom,” “Dark Figure of Crime” has been performing well at the box office since its release on October 3. As of 2 p.m. KST on October 6, the film officially surpassed one million moviegoers, tying the pace of the popular films “The Attorney” and “Ode to My Father.”

“Dark Figure of Crime” also held a special outdoor screening at the 23rd Busan International Film Festival on October 6.
