Watch: NCT 127 Chats With DJ Khaled About Collaborating + Meets His Son

It looks like NCT 127 and DJ Khaled may be collaborating in the future!

On October 8 local time, NCT 127 stopped by Apple Music’s Beats 1 Radio in California to chat with DJ Zane Lowe. The group, who recently became the first K-pop act to be chosen as an “Up Next” artist by Apple Music, talked about their first studio album “NCT #127 Regular-Irregular,” due out on October 12, and premiered the English version of their new title track “Regular.”

Zane Lowe also had a special surprise prepared for the group—at one point during the broadcast, he made a video call to DJ Khaled without telling the NCT 127 members whom he was calling.

NCT 127 was visibly thrilled to see the famous American producer, whom they have often named as an artist that they hope to work with in the future. DJ Khaled returned the love as well: not only did he express his interest in a potential collaboration, but he also excitedly called for his son Asahd to meet them.

When Zane Lowe asked if he knew who NCT 127 was, DJ Khaled replied, “Come on! The whole world knows, man, the whole world.”

He went on to tell the group, “I want to thank y’all for showing me love, man, saying you want to collaborate with me—I’m honored that you’re saying that, [that] you even think about working with me, and I appreciate that. And I’m ready [for] whatever—whatever you want to do.”

After DJ Khaled had introduced the NCT 127 members to his adorable son, Zane Lowe confirmed, “So wait, so you’re saying that collaboration, that NCT 127-DJ Khaled collaboration, is happening?”

DJ Khaled immediately responded, “Yes, we gotta do it, man! Why not? Let’s make it happen, man! I’m about love, and that’s what y’all about, is love.” He playfully added, “And our fans worldwide—why not give them ‘another one’?”
