Wanna One's Lee Dae Hwi Has A Heartwarming Final Lesson With His Student On "Tutor"

On the October 18 episode of “Tutor,” Wanna One’s Lee Dae Hwi spent his last day with his student, Dayeon.

Asking Dayeon when her interview is and when they would release the results, Lee Dae Hwi told her to contact him no matter what if she passes. In his interview, Lee Dae Hwi said, “It’s motivation for her to succeed. I wanted to do everything I could to help her pass.”

Lee Dae Hwi also prepared a parting gift for Dayeon, including highlighter pens, which he had mentioned to her that he liked, a book about nursing, and a Wanna One album that he signed. He joked, “If you don’t pass, I’m going to take the album back.”

The Wanna One member then helped Dayeon prepare for her interview, giving his stamp of approval on the outfit that she had prepared and filming a brief mock interview that she could review to correct any mistakes.

After filming a couple of practice questions with Dayeon, Lee Dae Hwi gave her notes on how she was speaking and helped her correct her posture. The mock interview continued, and when Lee Dae Hwi asked how Dayeon relieves her stress, she said she watches fancams of Lee Dae Hwi, particularly of “Boomerang” performances. At his request, Dayeon then danced a little to “Boomerang.” Complimenting her, Lee Dae Hwi said, “You did really well! It’s not an easy dance. If you take this confidence straight through to the interview, I’m positive you’re going to make it. No matter what. Trust me.”

Later in her interview, after saying goodbye, Dayeon teared up reading the messages on the gifts that Lee Dae Hwi left her. She said, “I can’t express with words how I’m feeling. I received such a big gift [from Lee Dae Hwi], I’m going to pass my interview no matter what to show my appreciation.”

She added, “[You] came all the way here for me. Thank you so, so much. I was really stressed out because of college entrance exams, but you came and kept telling me that I could do it and helped me improve. Thank you so much. I don’t think I will ever forget this.”
