Actor Kim Jung Tae Diagnosed With Liver Cancer, Withdraws From Drama

Actor Kim Jung Tae has been diagnosed with an early stage of liver cancer.

The actor, who had been filming for the upcoming SBS drama “Empress’s Dignity,” a story about a modern-day monarchy in Korea starring Jang Nara and Shin Sung Rok, has withdrawn due to difficulty filming as a result of his decline in health.

The Queen AMC, Kim Jung Tae’s agency, said in a statement to DongA.com, “It is true that Kim Jung Tae has been diagnosed with liver cancer. While filming, he experienced swelling in the face and wasn’t feeling well, and when he visited the hospital, they found that he had cancer. Kim Jung Tae has been admitted to the hospital for treatment.”
