TWICE's Jeongyeon Shares A Memory Of Her Grandmother On "Eat In Style"
On the October 19 episode of SBS’s “Eat in Style,” TWICE’s Jeongyeon and Dahyun appeared as guests.
During the episode, the guests and MCs headed to Chuja Island to find some new ingredients. Once there, they tried seasonal delicacies like the local species of oyster, yellow corvina fish, and Japanese Spanish mackerel.
“Eat in Style” is a show that aims to shine light on many unfamiliar local ingredients all around the country. The hosts and guests try the traditional meals prepared with the ingredients, while star chefs attempt to create new dishes with them.
Seeing the TWICE members enjoy the food, Lee Kyung Kyu said, “I think your expressions right now are the happiest they’ve been all day.”
Jeongyeon said, “It’s really good. I’ve never tried this before. It’s different from what I have at home. My mom doesn’t make stuff like this for me, there’s no food like this in Seoul.”
She added, “When I was young, I lived with my grandmother. Whenever I had no appetite, my grandmother would mix my rice with water and put a piece of corvina or mackerel on top. This is what that reminds me of. Eating these ingredients makes me want to mix my rice with water like the olden days again.”
