Apink's Jung Eun Ji Talks About What Kind Of Song She'd Want To Write For Her Group

Apink’s Jung Eun Ji opened up about whether she’d ever take on the task of writing a title song for her group.

Jung Eun Ji released her third solo album “Hyehwa” (literal title) on October 17. She has been writing her own music since her first solo album, solidifying her unique musical color as a solo artist. She has been honing her talents with every new album, and Jung Eun Ji was asked if she ever considered writing a title track for her group Apink. Hearing the question, Jung Eun Ji shook her head and laughed.

She stated, “I think writing a title track for Apink is a challenge that I could think of taking on. All six of us have such different tastes when it comes to music.” Jung Eun Ji went on to explain that as it’s difficult to create a song that reflects all of the members’ preferences when it comes to genres or styles, they’re able to create a better result when they work with a producer. She also humbly added, “I sometimes hesitate to use my own compositions for my solo title tracks. I still have a long way to go [as a composer].”

However, Jung Eun Ji didn’t rule out writing a song for Apink completely. She said, “If I ever get the chance, I’d love to write a carol for Apink. We don’t have a winter song yet,” and “I’d love to write a B-side track for Apink. That’s something I’d really like to do.”
