Kim Da Ye To Star Opposite Apink's Chorong In New Film

Apink’s Chorong will be making her silver-screen debut alongside actress Kim Da Ye in the upcoming film “Road Family” (literal title)!

On October 23, Kim Da Ye confirmed that she would be starring in the new film opposite Chorong. The actress will be playing the role of Da Hye, the daughter of the titular “road family.”

Explaining why she had been drawn to the film, Kim Da Ye remarked, “When I was first offered the role of Da Hye, I was amazed because the character’s name was similar [to mine]. As I read the screenplay, I felt so much sadness. I had personally been going through a time when I was worried about a lot of things, and reading the screenplay gave me emotional comfort. I could feel warmth in the film.”

She went on, “I was worried and felt a lot of pressure about whether I’d be able to do a good job playing Da Hye, who has a wide variety of charms, but thanks to the director’s advice, I’m working hard at filming [the movie].”

Kim Da Ye also reported that she was having a great time working with Chorong, who will be playing the role of Yu Ri. “I have a lot in common with Chorong, who is currently filming the movie together with me,” said Kim Da Ye. “She’s a huge source of strength for me.”

She added, “We’ll work hard and greet you with a good [film], so please look forward to it!”

Kim Da Ye, who appeared in the hit drama “While You Were Sleeping” last year, is also currently preparing to appear in SBS’s upcoming drama “Revenge is Back” alongside Yoo Seung Ho and Jo Bo Ah.
