“Pocha Beyond Borders” Announces Broadcast Plans Following Hidden Camera Incident

Cable network O’live’s upcoming show “Pocha Beyond Borders” will be airing soon.

On October 25, the “Pocha Beyond Borders” production staff stated, “O’live’s ‘Pocha Beyond Borders’ will be broadcasted on both tvN an O’live on November 21 at 11 p.m. KST. Both the staff and cast are of the same mind in hoping to deliver feelings of delight to viewers.”

They continued, “We bow our heads in apology for the inconvenience we caused regarding the incident that happened while filming overseas. We will work hard until the end so we can make it up to viewers with good contents. The production staff is heavily accepting the issue and fully realizing their responsibilities. We’ve constructed a guide to prevent a recurrence and have informed the entire staff. We will also take meticulous efforts in managing subcontractors and taking preventative measures.”

They also added, “After thorough police investigations into the suspected outsourced company, the case has been sent to the public prosecutors office and we believe that they will receive due punishment. We are earnestly making an effort so such an incident does not happen again. We earnestly request that people refrain from making unconfirmed speculations.”

Previously, on September 15, the show had been filming overseas when a hidden camera disguised as a portable battery was discovered in Shin Se Kyung and Yoon Bomi’s place. The show’s production staff members and agency immediately confiscated it, and Shin Se Kyung’s agency alerted the authorities about the individual who set up the hidden camera.

A source from O’live confirmed that the contents of the hidden camera had not been leaked.

“Pocha Beyond Borders” is a reality program in which its cast will introduce Korean street food and the concept of pocha to people overseas. Pocha is the Korean word for a small tented spot set up outdoors where people can eat and drink delicious street food. Its cast members include Park Joong Hoon, Shin Se Kyung, Lee Yi Kyung, Ahn Jung Hwan, Apink’s Bomi, and Microdot.
