3 Things Viewers Can Take Away From “Dancing High”

KBS 2TV’s “Dancing High” was the first of its kind.

The program documented Korea’s best teenage dancers’ journeys as they competed against one another to become the final one standing.

On October 26, the show came to an end with the final performances of Just Jerk, Lia Kim, Highlight’s Lee Gikwang, Lee Ho Won (Hoya), and WINNER’s Lee Seung Hoon‘s teams.

SEVENTEEN’s Hoshi, Wanna One’s Park Woo Jin, J-Black, Poppin’ Hyun Joon, and Ha Hwi Dong also appeared as special judges. The winner was decided according to the total score from 50 percent of the judges’ scores and 50 percent of the audience’s scores.

In the end, Just Jerk’s team was crowned as the final winners of the show. All of the dancers expressed their passion with their moves and moved viewers throughout the program.

Let’s take a look at the three takeaways from “Dancing High.”

The teenage dancers competed and worked together to test their own capabilities, which resulted in growth.

During a period of three months, the teenage dancers were able to have valuable experiences. Many talented dancers including Park Shi Hyun, Kim Min Hyuk, Ji Sung, Kim Ye Ri, Lee Soo Jung, Oh Dong Kyo, and Song Ye Rim proved that age is just a number with their outstanding skills.

Each contestant learned their moves in his or her own way. Through “Dancing High,” they met more dancers and were able to grow by competing and working with them. They made friends, learned things from each other, and created beautiful performances. The viewers watched this and commented that it was like watching a touching drama. “Dancing High” was more like a drama that documented growth than an audition.

Everyone was a dancer. The coaches and teenage dancers all united under one thing—dance.

The star coaches were the focal point of “Dancing High.” Just Jerk, Lia Kim, Lee Gikwang, Hoya, and Lee Seung Hoon gave the dancers advice and approached them in their own sincere ways.

The coaches and contestants all accepted one another as dancers. The teenage dancers learned from the experience of their coaches. Through hard work and sweat, they got a taste of the world of dancers and worked together to create a passionate harmony on stage.

The beginning of the teenagers

The young contestants got their first footing on “Dancing High.” After the first preliminary round, the dancers gathered at a studio and were in awe of the stage and lights that awaited them.

After their final performances, the contestants shed tears off-stage that signaled the bright start of their futures.

The dancers completed their performances one step, one move at a time, and many were moved by their wonderful performances. People cheered them on, and the dancers proved their skills and worth. The show continued to create buzz and topped trending searches before and after the show aired.

A source from the show said, “Thank you to the viewers who gave us lots of attention and love. Please also give lots of your attention and support to the teenage dancers who are just beginning.”
