Watch: IU Chooses And Performs Her 3 All-Time Favorite IU Songs

IU has revealed which three songs she considers to be her very best!

On the October 27 episode of JTBC’s “Ask Us Anything,” Super Junior’s Kim Heechul mentioned that IU had an extensive repertoire of hit songs. He commented, “IU has so many amazing songs [in her discography],” citing “Cruel Fairy Tale” and “Only I Didn’t Know” as examples.

He then asked the singer to personally choose her own favorite IU songs to perform. “There are too many,” he continued, “but in your opinion, [what are] the best three songs to perform at an IU concert, chosen by IU herself?”

IU first picked her hit ballad “Through the Night,” commenting, “Many people really like ‘Through the Night.'” Fellow guest Lee Joon Gi agreed, “People really love it.”

For her second choice, she went with the song that catapulted her to stardom. “‘Good Day’ is the song that made me famous, so of course people like it,” she said.

Finally, IU named the lesser-known “Knees,” a track from her 2015 mini album “Chat-Shire,” as her third pick.

“I composed the song myself,” she explained. “Even though it’s not a famous song, I put a lot of effort into writing the lyrics. I have trouble sleeping, and I put those feelings into it. It’s a song about my own experience with insomnia.”
