Actress Kang Han Na has been mistakenly targeted as the celebrity who caused an issue with her controversial statements on a Japanese show.

On October 27, entertainer Kang Han Na had talked about Koreans and their tendency to get cosmetic surgery on Yomiuri TV’s “Tokumori Yoshimoto.” She stated, “Out of 100 celebrities I know, 99 have gotten plastic surgery. I have a lot of celebrity friends in Korea, and their faces change every time we meet. However, I don’t say ‘I want to get plastic surgery.’ I’m actually ashamed [of plastic surgery].”

As this fact became known in Korea, netizens strongly criticized the entertainer for “exaggerating without foundation” and “downplaying Korean celebrities.” Furthermore, amid this, her name topped portal sites’ real-time search results, and some people became worried that actress Kang Han Na would be harmed through this incident for having the same name.

Some fans even defended the actress on her Instagram account, saying, “This is the wrong place. This is actress Kang Han Na’s social media. Please don’t curse.” They also posted these warnings on Twitter and Facebook. Following these criticisms, entertainer Kang Han Na has set her social media account to private.
