“YG Treasure Box” has dropped its first teaser!

On October 29, it was announced that YG Entertainment will be launching a new survival show for the debut of the agency’s new boy group.

The program is called “YG Treasure Box” and will include Bang Ye Dam. Yang Hyun Suk explained, “‘YG Treasure Box’ is a phrase often used by fans as complaints that once YG artists conclude promotions once, they are locked in the box of jewels and do not come out much.” He continued, “There are a total of 29 YG male trainees who will be revealed through the ‘YG Treasure Box’ broadcast, and most of them are between the ages of 14 and 19.”

In the clip, a camera pans through the interior of YG Entertainment’s building while several voices narrate, “A treasure box,” “Yang Hyun Suk’s ‘treasure box,'” and “Can we open it?”

In the next scene, a CCTV clip of a group of YG employees at the A&R (Artists and repertoire) division sit down in a meeting room. One employee says, “WINNER’s album will be released at the end of the year.” Another gasps at how packed Seungri’s schedule is.

The scene changes to give a glimpse of YG employees at the casting division, also in a meeting room. One person reveals, “On Monday, we’ll be casting elementary and middle school at the front and back gates.”

Finally, Yang Hyun Suk is shown at a meeting for YG’s new boy group. He states, “We’re going to be launching a new team at YG, and as you know, I said I’ll be looking at appearances [of the trainees] now.” One employee looks shocked at his statement, and asks, “Oh, really?” As they play clips of potential members on the TV screen, Yang Hyun Suk occasionally comments, “He’s handsome.”

Near the end of the clip, some trainees are shown. One trainee says, “We absolutely have to debut,” while another holds a paper that has the words, “YG Treasure Box” written on it. In the background, more trainees dance wildly to the music playing in the training room.
