TVXQ, BTS, SHINee, EXO, And More Make Japanese List Of 2018's Top Concert Ticket-Sellers

Japanese magazine Nikkei Entertainment has released its annual “Concert Crowd-Pullers” rankings!

The magazine’s yearly list ranks the 50 artists who attracted the most concertgoers in Japan that year, and according to the newly published December issue, K-pop groups were some of the hottest ticket-sellers of 2018!

TVXQ topped the 2018 rankings, beating out all Japanese and international artists who performed in Japan this year. The legendary duo drew an impressive total of 1.28 million concertgoers to 48 Japanese concerts in 2018 alone.

BTS came in at No. 19 on the list, attracting a total of 375,000 concertgoers to 11 concerts. SHINee took No. 31 with 275,000 concertgoers attending 5 concerts, and EXO followed close behind at No. 35 with 259,000 concertgoers attending 9 concerts.

iKON made the list at No. 41, drawing a total of 227,000 concertgoers to 19 concerts; SEVENTEEN took No. 44 with 199,000 concertgoers attending 11 concerts; and TWICE rounded out the top 50 with 170,000 concertgoers attending 20 concerts.

Meanwhile, TVXQ shows no signs of slowing down—the group is currently in the midst of their “Tomorrow” arena and dome tour, which kicked off in Saitama this September and will take them to 10 different cities in Japan.

Congratulations to all of the artists who made this year’s list!
