Cube Entertainment Establishes Joint Label With Universal Music Japan

Cube Entertainment has announced a global partnership with Universal Music Japan.

On November 23, the foundation ceremony for “U-Cube” took place at the Novotel Ambassador hotel in Seoul.

Vice President Hong Il Hwa gave a greeting in place of president Hong Seung Sung who was unable to attend the ceremony due to his health.

He said, “2018 is a meaningful year for Cube Entertainment. We’re working together with Universal Music Japan on the 10th year of our establishment and our second leap forward is approaching. With our strong company system and outstanding artists, we will stand strong as a global company with our strong partner company.”

On this day, Cube Entertainment and Universal Music Japan formally announced that they will be setting up a joint label. By partnering up with the world’s largest record label Universal Music Japan’s global network, Cube Entertainment plans to expand into the global market by distributing its digital music and albums and diversify its general music business.
